Picnic at Kojori

Some pictures from a picnic last weekend near Kojori.

I met Khatuna around 10:30 near Tavisuplebis Moedani, and together we walked over to the bus station where we met the rest of the party.  The guy on the right in the picture above drove us, together with Irakli, the other fellow in the picture skewering the mtsvadi.

This guy is a soldier at the military academy, and one of Khatuna’s friends at work.  A pleasant enough fellow.  I chatted to his wife on and off throughout the afternoon–she had lived in Italy for a few years, and enjoyed the chance to practice her Italian again.

It was a beautiful day, and the food was plentiful and good.
